It’s expected to introduce upgrades for nearly every Apple product.
Apple has confirmed after much speculation that it will indeed hold an event in September for a special announcement, which is rumored to be the debut of three new iPhones. The event will be held on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater, according to its media invitations, and is slated to start at 10 a.m. PT.
Apple’s annual September events usually introduce new models or updated products before they’re released, but many speculate the event will introduce upgrades of nearly every Apple product. Many suggest a new line of iPhones, a new MacBook Air, an updated Mac Mini, updated iPads, and a new Apple Watch. It has been reported Apple’s new iPhones will be a continuation of the iPhone X. One will have a 5.8-inch OLED display, the larger version will possess an OLED 6.5-inch display, lastly an entry-level model including a 6.1-inch LCD screen.
The 6.1-inch model is expected to use aluminum as opposed to its usual steel casing to keep costs lower, and the phones are expected to come in new color options. Apple is also supposed to update its iPad Pro models with screens and features similar to the iPhone X, complete with FaceID and gesture controls.
In other tech news, a new Samsung leak suggests a massive upgrade for the alleged Galaxy S10.
