Due to more than 50,000 commenters requesting it.
Fresh off the debut of his personal AI butler named Jarvis,
Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg has now reached out to Academy Award-winner
Morgan Freeman to voice it. These turn of events have stemmed directly
from the public — the founder of Facebook’s post inspired more than
50,000 comments with Freeman coming out as the overwhelming favorite to
voice Jarvis and replace the standard robotic female voice. Time
magazine’s research showed that people interpret low-pitched male
voices like that of Freeman’s as attractive and showing strength and
those factors coupled with our familiarity to his distinctive tone make
him the perfect choice for the family and the application.
There is no news on whether a financial agreement took place between the two parties for this endeavor. Freeman will record a limited set of commands and responses since the interactions between Jarvis and the Zuckerberg family are mostly text-based. You can check out the video above from Mark Zuckerberg demonstrating the new voice over for Jarvis.
