Live video is all the rage these days with companies like Instagram trying to catch up to Snapchat and Facebook offering the function as well. Trying not to fall behind, Twitter released a new update today that will allow for native iOS and Android live video broadcasts. Powered by Periscope, Twitter’s live video app, the new function will be available if you have Periscope installed.
This new feature will be fairly intuitive to anyone who has used a similar option in other social media channels. To start the broadcast you tap the button you would normally hit to compose a new tweet and just tap “live” – you are now sharing your video. Interaction with your followers allows for comments and heart emojis. For those that have used any of the live video features offered by social media, chime in below on which one is your favorite.
