Tesla has been known to hire former Apple employees in the past and vice versa. The trend continues as 9to5Mac reports that former Apple senior director of design Matt Casebolt, a key member of the Macbook Air, Mac Pro and new Macbook Pro design teams, has taken a senior engineering director role at Tesla. Although it is currently unclear how he will be involved as part of the closures and mechanisms team at Tesla, the departure from Apple will leave a huge pair of design shoes for the next candidate to fill.
